Why Early Access?

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Drift is currently evolving and growing during its Early Access period. We expect to be in Early Access for at least one year with the current team and scope. Major content updates, quality of life fixes and bug fix updates occur at a regular pace.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of the game is planned to include a complete research tree that allows the players to build all the equipment their ship needs to return home. This will require players to venture into more mysterious biomes in the asteroid field and collect, process and build with new resources found in each.

In addition, new secondary features are planned to provide more options to traverse, explore and survive.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version of the game contains all core features mentioned in the store page, including co-op multiplayer. Players will be able to work together or solo to build, craft, explore and research what they find in the field. The asteroid field will include distinct biomes full of flora, fauna and precious resources.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price will likely remain the same when we leave Early Access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I read all suggestions, bug reports and general feedback in Discord and Steam - and respond to almost all of it! The updates to date are the product of fantastic feedback from players like you.”
